'Great Doctor' Park Yoon Jae Grows As Villain

Park Yoon Jae's menace is reaching its peak.

On the Monday episode of "Great Doctor," Eun Soo (Kim Hee Sun) discovers that Duk Heung (Park Yoon Jae) is trying to kill Choi Young (Lee Min Ho) in order to make the King more vulnerable. Eun Soo confronted him, telling Duk Heung to not touch Choi Young and he used Choi Young to get Eun Soo to agree to a marriage.

His ill will didn't stop there. He gave Eun Soo one half of her diary back and he burns the other half which he was keeping. Then he formulated yet another plan with Ki Chul (Yoo Oh Sung) to attack King Gong Min (Ryu Deok Hwan).

This episode also showed Choi Young running around in order to protect King Gong MIn. He convinced a few of Duk Heung's men to take the King's side and it seemed that he was proceeding with his own plan. However, Duk Heung was already aware of what Choi Young was doing. Before those soldiers could go to Gong Min, he decided to proceed with trying to become king and also getting Eun Soo.

Duk Heung had poisoned Eun Soo and caused a riot by manipulating some of the King's officials and then manipulated them again into being arrested for treason. He also threatens Eun Soo, who refuses to marry him, with the life of King Gong Min and makes it impossible for her to say otherwise.

Duk Heung's original entrance suggested anything but such menace. With a kind face and great intelligence, he seemed like an ambitious man but now as the episodes go by, he is showing a much more evil side to him than imagined previously.

Park Yoon Jae is also garnering positive reviews for his natural performance. He helped the kiss between Choi Young and Eun Soo come to fruition, escaping some of the fans' wrath.
