After School member Jooyeon will be leaving the group to pursue her acting career.

According Pledis, Jooyeon’s contract with them will expire on December 31. With her contract ending, this means that her time as an After School member has come to an end. She has decided not to renew her contract and leave the group and the label and began pursuing a career in acting.

A music official stated, “Jooyeon has continuously been acting even when she was part of the group. Even after she leaves the group, she will be able to pursue acting full time.”

Her last activities as part of the group will be at the Chinese concert on December 31.

On the other hand, After School is a girl group that follows the guidelines of acceptance and graduation amongst members. After members Kahi, Bekah, Yoo So Young and others left the group, new members Lizzy, Nana, Raina and others entered the group.

Jooyeon, who was one of the original members of the group, will be graduating from the group after 5 years on the team.
