Kate Hudson and Derek Hough, the Dancing With the Stars pro, are reportedly dating.

Kate Hudson was caught making out with the Mormon born and raised Derek Hough at Mr. Nice Guy restaurant December 5 while the actress was still engaged. Kate Hudson and Derek Hough were spotted together four days before the breakup to Matt Bellamy was announced.

Fans of the couple might have been shocked but people who are close to Kate and Matt saw it coming. According to reports, rumblings about their failed relationship have been going through their friends for at least a year. Gossip sites were filled with rumors that a split was coming.

The daughter of Goldie Hawn and the Muse singer called off their three-year engagement. Kate Hudson is reportedly dating "Dancing with the Stars" pro Derek Hough. Maksim Chmerkovskiy isn't the only Dancing With the Stars pro to downplay his romances. DWTS pro Derek Hough is also playing it close to the vest.

According to Us Weekly, Kate Hudson and "Dancing With The Stars" professional dancer Derek Hough were allegedly together before Kate and Matt Bellamy broke up.

An insider told Us Weekly, "Derek and Kate are better matched than Matt and Kate... They both like to dance, have fun and mess around. And that's what the relationship is right now. Kate really likes Derek. Kate hooked up with Matt because he was a rock star in a hot band... But he was moody. She would call him a wet blanket. Things were bad. They were always on the verge of breaking up or getting back together... Other than liking music, they didn't have anything in common.... Kate loves being outdoors and being fit. Matt was always inside recording or jamming with friends."

The insider told Us Weekly that Kate and Derek started dating soon after Bellamy and Hudson decided to  go their separate ways.

Other rumors say that Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy might be having second thoughts about the breakup.

Kate and Matt were photographed together while they were leaving Hudson's Pacific Palisades home to have breakfast. This is not the first time Bellamy has stayed over since the breakup. According to reports, Matt has been staying with Kate since he hit Los Angeles last week.

A spokesperson for Kate Hudson told People magazine "Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now. Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."
