Blink 182 New Album To Come 2015; Tom DeLonge Promises New Record To Be The Best They've Made

Blink 182 vocalist Tom DeLonge recently talked with NME about the future of the band and their upcoming new album, which is expected early 2015.

It was currently reported that the band's recording process was delayed a few times following the releases of the member's own side projects.

In an interview by NME with Blink 182's vocalist regarding the progress of their new album, DeLonge confirmed that they have solved their problem with regards to releasing and is expected by next year.

"We've just started the conversation in the past couple of days of when/where and how to start recording," he said. "We've been kind of taking our time trying to figure out the best way to put the record out, you know. I think we just solved that puzzle a couple of weeks ago. I don't think we have anything to prove. I think we have to just try and go into it and try to make the best album of our career and create a situation that's really creative and conducive to that idea."

DeLonge also confirmed that there wouldn't be any surprises for fans on their upcoming seventh record, as fans should expect the same Blink that they have loved for so long.

"Blink is celebrated for its immediacy and its legacy and for its potential, but not in the realms of doing things that elevate it above the audience. It has to be something that's tangible and down to earth in a way."

The vocalist recently faced criticism after he blurted out words that few music fans didn't like after the Blink 182 guitarist expressed his sentiments about music streaming.

"I tell people condoning streaming is like condoning the Chinese that are killing elephants for their tusks and carving ivory statues."
