Two of K-pop’s most popular singers made it onto New York Magazine’s best-dressed of 2014 list.

G-Dragon and Taeyang, both members of YG Entertainment group Big Bang, were ranked forty-second on the NY Mag’s Street-Style Awards: 45 Best-Dressed People of 2014. The two are the only K-pop idols on the list, and are joined on the list by some of the fashion world’s most popular models.

“The K-pop icons caused frenzy with their crazy hair, gender-bending clothes, and face tattoos at the menswear and couture shows,” reads NY Mag on its website. “Our inner fangirls scream, "Oppa saranghae!!! (Translation: OMG, I LUV YOU.)”

New York Magazine also featured G-Dragon and Taeyang were featured in “Taeyang, G-Dragon, and More: A Guide to the Style Stars of K-Pop” in January, along with 2NE1, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and stylist Lee Hyun Bum.

The Street-Style Awards top five spots went to Shiona Turini, Eva Chen, Lucy Chadwick, Miroslava Duma, and Irene Kim.

The two singers were also featured in Buzzfeed and GQ as up-and-coming global male style icons. Taeyang and G-Dragon have gained a lot of attention for their unique styles both in their music videos and their every day outfits.

YG Entertainment has also recently co-released with Samsung the fashion brand Nonagon, and YG also released a cosmetic brand, Moonshot.

G-Dragon and Taeyang released their song “Good Boy” on November 20, and garnered over 25 million views within two months. Taeyang has also won several awards for his hit song "Eyes, Nose, Lips" at year-end award ceremonies.
