What exactly was JYP's actual role in the inspiration of Gangnam Style? 

On the recent episode of SBS's "Good Morning" JYP showed support for Psy with his success of Gangnam Style.

In the clip of the show it shows JYP claiming he is the inspiration behind the song and it caught viewer's attention. He said "I started to support a YG Entertainment artist because I heard that I was the inspiration behind the song". He then laughed, but it seems that the mix-up was a misunderstanding.

The clip of JYP saying that he was the inspiration behind Gangnam Style was actually recorded before Psy even released the song. A representative from JYP Entertainment explained that JYP filmed the support message to help out Psy, who is his good friend. The representative also added, "JYP who is currently taking time off, probably doesn't even know this misunderstanding occurred".
