On October 11th, Psy tweeted on his official twitter "#gangnamstyle became #platinum in the US!!!!! Yeah~~".
Psy has recently been promoting Gangnam Style in America, so it is no surprise that it has finally become a platinum record.
He has made appearences in America on the Ellen Degeneres show, The Today Show, Saturday Night Live, and at the IHeart Radio Music Festival.
Currently Psy is travelling to Australia on October 15th to perform Gangnam Style on The X Factor and Sunrise.
