Install Android 5.0 Lollipop Update On Samsung Galaxy S5; XXU1BNL9 Firmware Available For SM-G900F Units In Poland

A new Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been released for the Samsung Galaxy S5.

The third Android 5.0 Lollipop update is now available for the Samsung Galaxy S5 units, particularly the European version. Samsung Galaxy S5 was originally launched in April 2014, running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update out of the box, according to GSM Arena. The two Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware updates was rolled out, the G900FXXU1BNL2 and G900FXXU1BNL7.

And now, Samsung unleashed the latest firmware with build number G900FXXU1BNL9 and it is currently available in Poland, for the Samsung Galaxy S5 bearing the model number SM-G900F.

SamMobile noted, citing the changelog, that the update brings in improvements to the performance of the smartphone.

Those who wish to install Android 5.0 Lollipop update on Samsung Galaxy S5 can access the firmware XXU1BNL9 via OTA or Over-The-Air service. Another option available for those interested to officially update the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the use of Samsung KIES desktop tool.

SamMobile.com also noted that Galaxy S5 users can download the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on their Firmware Portal.

But before heading to install the firmware update, the battery level of the smartphone needs to be at least 80 percent first to avoid any power interruption midway during the upgrade process.
