LeBron James Returns To Miami! Cleveland Cavaliers Visit The Heat As Fans Show Mixed Emotions Towards Their Franchise Player!

The Christmas Day games feature some of the most intriguing match-ups. Perhaps the most awaited game of the season was in Miami, when LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers visited the Heat for the first time.

This is LeBron James first return to South Beach four years since he decided to take his talents there. It's been five months since he brought them back to Cleveland. While the Cavaliers are still disappointing as anointed title contenders, the Heat are also struggling-but expectations and interest in the team has obviously dwindled.

Still the Miami Heat eked out an impressive 101-91 victory. They also did it without Chris Bosh who is out with an injury.

The story that fans were following is about how the fans would treat LeBron James. Miami Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra looks back with fondness. CBS Sports has the quotes: "It was an incredible run. He was a major part of it. None of us have forgotten his contribution. We'll look back on this; I'll look back on this with incredible pride and perspective that I coached one of the all-time greats."

The fans had mixed emotions. They were not as angry as the Cleveland fans when LeBron left them. Perhaps because the King had two banners in the Heat's homecourt. Quicken Loans Arena, the Cleveland Cavaliers home is still bannerless.

The fans had to be reminded of the good times, though. "During the night, twice the crowd honored LeBron. He was immediately cheered with exultation drowning out a smattering of boos during introductions. When the game started and James had the ball, the boos rained down on him.

When the first timeout in the game happened, the Heat organization played a tribute video to LeBron. It was a thank you for being the leader on two championship teams and a reminder to everybody how special those years were. The crowd roared in applause and cheering, giving him a standing ovation as he acknowledged the crowd and the moment."

Perhaps a win against LeBron was the perfect Christmas gift for the Heat fans. Now it's time to move on.
