The final episode of season one of "Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works" was released this weekend. Episode 12, entitled "The Final Decision," was simulcast for fans outside of Japan thanks to Aniplex, via subscription services such as Hulu and Crunchyroll. Synopsis:

This week's episode opens with Shiro discovering that the bread he just purchased is missing and has been replaced with money instead. Shiro enters Rin's room and finds her struggling to wake up. At breakfast Rin announces that she and Shiro are going on a date in the next town.

Shiro protests as Fujimura teases him, but they ultimately go on the date along with Saber. He ultimately submits to Rin's will and they go to a cafe and get sweets and tea. The three visit shops and even try on glasses. The group then heads to a batting cage where Rin proves to be too good at batting - Saber sulks at being unable to manage.

They visit the park later and Shiro and Saber are amazed with the lunch that was prepared by Rin. She teases Shiro some more before relaxing with their lunch. Then Shiro realizes he's grateful for Rin's concern for his well being. He tells her and she's the one to blush this time.

It is revealed that Fujimura went to pray at Shiro's father's grave and is mysteriously watched by someone.

They take the bus back to their side of town but suddenly the bus is attacked and goes off the bridge they were crossing into the water below. Wherever they have arrived they're complete sealed in. Saber transforms as the group is attacked by skeleton water monsters. Caster reveals herself as the kidnapper of Fujimura.

Caster demands that Shiro surrender to her and she'll share the grail with him. Shiro refuses. It's revealed that Shiro became the son of Kiritsugu Emiya only to fight in this next war. Caster also reveals that she can summon the grail if she has enough power. Shiro refuses again and says he chose to become a mage on his own.

Caster thus demands that Shiro give up his command seals to save Fujimura. Saber jumps into the fight and is attacked at the last moment as Caster steals Shiro's command seals. She demands that Saber become her familiar now that she has Shiro's command seals. Caster lets Fujimura go.

Caster sends Saber after Rin, but Shiro jumps in front of her sword to protect Rin. Saber does her best to disobey the commands from Caster. But Shiro is seriously injured.

Archer arrives just in time to save the group from Caster. Saber cries as she is left behind, forced to be the servant of Caster since Shiro gave up his command seals.

Back at home, Rin and Archer discuss whether or not Archer was rooting for Saber. Rin reasons he was because he did not go easy on her when they first battled. She also figures that Archer was scolding Saber for the first incident with Caster attacking and harming Shiro. Rin says she intends to stay committed to Shiro until he says he wants to be out of the war, despite his lack of powers now.

Caster orders Assassin to guard the temple, and eventually hurts him for mentioning how much she does without her master's knowledge or permission. Caster plans to leave the temple, stating she has no reason to worry about her master because she plans to have the Holy Grail soon.

Caster tries to retrieve the lesser grail by attacking Kirei at the church. Lancer waits in the shadows.

Shiro limps out to fight, vowing that he cannot leave Saber to be the servant of Caster. Rin however discourages him, stating that he can't really help anyone do anything due to his lack of powers and command seals. Archer and Rin leave Shiro on the top of a building to hunt down Caster. She orders him to stay out of the war or he'll die.
