Is Lebron James Hiding His Injury Status From The Public? Cleveland Cavaliers Star In Need Of Rehabilitation; Will Sit Out The Next Two Weeks [PHOTO]

It turns out LeBron James is more injured than we knew. According to USA Today, the Cleveland Cavaliers star is expected to sit out the next two weeks due to knee and back strains. James has already missed his team's last two games, and ESPN reports that an MRI scan was performed this past Wednesday to reveal the full extent of his injuries.

Besides an MRI, James underwent a physical and some radiographs before his treatment was announced, which will include anti-inflammatory medicine, rehabilitation, training room treatments and rest.

Though he has declined to admit how injured he is, USA Today reports that James' back has been bothering him since the start of the season.  He missed Cleveland's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 11, and may have even re-tweaked his knee while trying to save a loose ball against the Miami Heat on Christmas.

Cavs coach David Blatt stated on Thursday, "First and foremost, we want to make sure LeBron is well and completely recovered... The season is long and our main objective is that he will be well and strong for the rest of the season. But we have to fight it out and work every day to build others until he gets back after the time he needs."

Missing so many games is quite unusual for LeBron - or at least it used to be. According to ESPN, the four-time MVP has never missed more than five straight games in his professional career. If the two-week timetable holds up, his absence could reach up to more than 10 games in total.

James has recently admitted that his knee has been "hurting pretty much all year," stating, "I've been playing with it, and it goes away and comes back... So, the one in Miami kind of reaggravated it when I came out of the game in the third quarter."

With the Cavaliers currently in the down stretches due to turmoil off the court, hopefully James can make a full recovery.
