Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 Preview, Spoilers, And Updates, Check Out Tom Riley Interview About Ottoman Invasion [VIDEO]

Da Vince's Demons is a "historical" reimagining of the life and times of the famous painter and inventor. After a week second season the cast and crew are shaking things up for season 3.

Crossmap.com reports, "During the Comic Con in Portugal, lead actor Tom Riley talked about how the new showrunner from Breaking Bad will create a major impact in the upcoming series.

'There won't be any major changes, but I think it will look different. It didn't change the way we work since many department heads are the same, likewise for the cast that know each other intimately. We're still doing the same thing guaranteed,' he said.

Riley added commending Shiban's work history and his views regarding Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 premiere sometime in Spring 2015.

'He previously worked on shows such as Breaking Bad. He was very strict in taking the show and making it focus on the character, to dive into these people and discover what makes them tick,' Riley cited.

He continued, 'He also wanted to make it seem bolder, so many of the scenes we did inside are now being done outdoors. We built set instead of inside our studios and gambled with the weather in Wales, which wasn't fun.'

Meanwhile, Shiban told Entertainment Weekly at the New York's Comic Con about the third season. He confirmed that an episode will be shown where brand new viewers of the show can follow through the story without being lost.

He said, 'We're using the Ottoman invasion as a way to bring everybody together and that way, new people will quickly understand what Riario was facing, what Lucrezia's facing because they're all facing one giant event. It's their Pearl Harbor, It's their 9/11...The war begins, and you're meeting all these people in the light of that.'"

Fashion And Style reports, "(There) won't be any major changes, but I think it will look different. It didn't change the way we work, since many department heads are the same, likewise for the cast that know each other intimately. We're still doing the same thing guaranteed."

Riley also spoke about Shiban's previous work and his vision for the upcoming season of the show:

"He previously worked on shows such as Breaking Bad," Riley said. "He was very strict in taking the show and making it focus on the character, to dive into these people and discover what makes them tick.

"He also wanted to make it seem bolder, so many of the scenes we did inside are now being done outdoors. We built sets outside instead of inside our studios and gambled with the weather in Wales, which wasn't fun."

Breathecast reports,"Riley, who plays the role of Leonardo Da Vinci revealed that "the third season will be darker, sadder and more dramatic," adding that it will be the show's "best season" to date.

In addition, Riley also pointed out that despite the addition of a new showrunner, John Shiban, there won't be any major changes in the show, although he mentioned that it will look different.

"It didn't change the way we work, since many department heads are the same, likewise for the cast that know each other intimately. We're still doing the same thing guaranteed," he said.

Ritson also talked about his character, Count Girolamo Riario, who may be a ruthless man but has shown in some occasions that he did have a heart.

When a fan asked if there were any spoilers about Riario's new love life before 'Da Vinci's Demons' Season 3 releases, the actor said that his character will not be looking for love in Season 3, but added that it was "not to say that love doesn't come a-knocking."

In an interview with The Daily Quirk, Ritson revealed that the third season of the show would be "really morally complex."

He added that all the characters would be put through the ringer. "They're all knocked off their pedestal. There's no neat little barometer of good and evil anymore."
