China’s National Weather Service Uses CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa's Image To Report The Daily Forecast

Band CNBLUE’s leader Jung Yong Hwa has appeared on China’s National Weather Service page.

Anhui’s National Weather Service revealed on Thursday a message on their official Weibo account that read, “This past week the weather has not been great with high dust concentrations. Please wear a mask when outdoors,” and a photo of Jung Yong Hwa wearing a mask.

One day before, Fujian’s National Weather Service’s official Weibo account revealed a weather message along with a picture of Jung Yong Hwa wearing a jacket and a scarf. Their message read, “Unlike the afternoon, tonight’s temperature will drop so it is important to dress warm like Jung Yong Hwa.”

This type of news releases started last year in March when they first used Jung Yong Hwa’s picture with their messages.

According to reports, they felt that with his popularity rising in China, more and more people were familiar with his image. The weather service referred to one of the scenes from his recent drama of his wet hair and stated, “Rain can come unexpectedly. Please remember to take your umbrellas or you might get wet like Jung Yong Hwa.”

Using a popular celebrity along with the weather is not seen as a common thing in China, making Jung Yong Hwa the first artist to be shown on the national weather service, according to reports.

Jung Yong Hwa’s images have been used in 9 different cities weather reports in China. These weather reports have been receiving thousands of comments and likes from fans as well.

On the other hand, Jung Yong Hwa’s collaboration with Yang Dong Geun for “Mileage” has been released on Friday. His first solo album will release on January 20th.
