Leessang member Gary will be attending onf of China’s biggest award ceremonies, Youku Night.

This ceremony will take place on January 16th at the Beijing Water Cube. Gary has become a hallyu sensation in China for his role in the popular Korean variety show, “Running Man.” Due to his popularity on the show, he was invited to the award ceremony.

According to Youku, China’s version of YouTube, has received high view counts on “Running Man” videos as well as his music videos, revealing his popularity in China.

Along with Gary, groups EXO, GOT7 and other idol groups will be attending the event.

On the other hand, he will also be holding a ‘Gary Showcase 2015 in Guangzhou’ on January 17th and meet with his fans.

Leessang came to be in 2000 when Gary, Gil and Diggity worked together for a compilation album. However, after Diggity left the group, Leessang became a duo.

Last year, Gary released his solo EP, Mr. Gae and topped 8 music charts with “Shower Later.”

In 2010, he joined the SBS show, “Running Man,” which is a popular variety program in Korea.

At the 2014 MAMA in Hong Kong, he was nominated for ‘Best Rap Perfomrance’ and ‘Best Collaboration’.
