‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ Movie Reboot In Major Trouble! Actors Afraid Of The 'Cursed' Teenage Superhero Film? Still No Cast & Director

There is definitely going to be a "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie reboot.

However, news about the upcoming project under Lionsgate production has been really slow.

With almost eight months following the announcement from the studio and the teenage superhero film-series' creator, Haim Sabam, there has been no confirmed cast or director yet.

Lionsgate is the perfect home for elevating our Power Rangers brand to the next level," Saban revealed. "They have the vision, marketing prowess and incredible track record in launching breakthrough hits from 'The Hunger Games' to 'Twilight' and 'Divergent.'" Sabam said in a statement.

While Feltheimer added, "The Power Rangers stories and characters have been embraced by generations of audiences for more than 20 years, and today they are more powerful than ever."

Roberto Orci, who is supposedly producing "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie reboot decided to leave the project, allegedly due to conflict of schedule from the upcoming "Star Trek 3" movie - which he also dropped out from.

Hollywood stars like, Taylor Lautner, Liam Hemsworth, Chloe Grace Moretz, Liam Neeson and Jack Gleeson are being linked to the project. However, none of the stars have yet to confirm or deny their involvement in the reboot.

Now speculations begin to arise that the delay may have been caused by the infamous "curse" surrounding the stars who appeared in the famous blockbuster teenage superhero series.

According to the information obtained from Yahoo Movies, some of the stars involved in the series have experienced a series of unfortunate events as stated below:

- Skylar Deleon, Roger in the original series episode, was charged with murder for the death of Long beach residents Tom and Jackie Hawks. Convicted and sentenced to death in April 2009.

- Eric Frank, appeared as David Trueheart in "Power Rangers Zeo" and also the brother of series regular Jason David -- Frank, died of a heart illness at the age of 29 in April 2011.

- Richard Genelle, known as Ernie, the owner of the Youth Center and advisor to the Power Rangers, died of a heart attack at the age of 47 in 2008.

- Bob Manahan, Zordon, the Power Rangers' mentor, also died of a heart attack at the age of 44 in June 2000

- Thuy Thang, known as Trini Kwan (the Yellow Ranger), died from a car crash at the age of 27 in Sept. 2001.

However, David Yost, who gained the most success as Billy Cranston (the Blue Ranger) vehemently denied the rumors of a "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" curse saying,

"I've never heard there's a curse," Yost told Yahoo. "But obviously anyone who's stepping into the role of a Power Ranger. I just hope that they realize how exciting that is and the impact they will have on many people's lives throughout the world and do their best to portray a good superhero."

How about you, do you think the reboot is "cursed?" Sound of in the comments section below.
