'The Great Seer' Lee Jin Watched First Episode Kneeling

Actress Lee Jin has finally gotten into the spotlight after 10 years as an actress, with SBS' "The Great Seer."

Because of the pressure of being one of the leads and the fact that this drama means a lot to her, she claims that she watched the first episode kneeling in front of the TV.

Lee Jin plays the younger version of Young Ji, the mother of Mok Ji Sang (Jisung). The baton will be passed onto Lee Seung Yeon after the 9th episode, which will air on November 7th.

She said, "We began shooting in June but I regret having to use a stuntwoman because I couldn't ride a horse. It took 8 hours to film the scene where I fall into the water but was cut short. But I really learned a lot and think that it will go to use on my next project. Last time, when I was in 'The King and I,' I had a birthing scene and that was definitely helpful for this time around."

Lee Jin is an original member of the idol group FinK.L along with other members like Lee Hyori, Sung Yuri, and Ock Joo Hyun. Though she didn't get much attention for the past 10 years, she had patience and slowly rose up the ranks. So far, she has been getting good reviews for her portrayal of Young Ji. Though she is in love with another man, she marries Lee In Im (Cho Min Ki) in order to protect her son. She explained that Young Ji is a very dynamic character.

Her kiss scene with Choi Jae Woong drew a lot of attention. Because of its explicitly, some reviews even said that it was not suitable for underage audiences.

She said, "In the beginning some said that it was too bland so after talking about it with the director and the other actor, we filmed it again. I was supposed to be getting pregnant after this scene so I tried my best to put a lot of emotion into it."

The scene where she must part with her baby also drew a lot of interest. She said that she had 4 cousins and thought about them a lot as she filmed the scene. She said the other members Ock Joo Hyun and Sung Yuri asked her how she was so good at birthing scenes and that she thanked them for their support.

She expressed jealousy when talking about the acting idols that came after her. When she debuted, the preconceptions about idols and young singers were too much to overcome.

She finished the interview by saying, "The summer was really hot and we went back and forth between mountains so it feels like I filmed a 16-episode mini-series and I want to make sure that I help increase the ratings with the episodes I have left."
