VM Production Claims EXO's 'Coming Soon' Video Teaser Is Not Plagiarized

Amidst rumors surrounding the validity of the new EXO teaser video, the producers of the video, VM Productions, claimed that it was certainly not a case of plagiarism.

"We paid the graphic designer for the content and received full permission." said a member of VM Productions in an interview with OSEN on the 14th. "It is definitely not a case of plagiarism, and the accusations are very embarrassing and we hope to get to the bottom of it soon."

A representative from EXO's agency SM Entertainment stated, "The teaser video was originally created to be released at the MAMA awards last December 13th." "We have contacted VM productions about the issue and hope to have the video back in service quickly."

The production company also expressed discontent that such issues would arise after a month of the images being in circulation.

Famous Swedish graphic designer Eric Soderberg recently published in his blog, "Please be aware that some of the motion graphics art pieces in the video EXO 2015 COMING SOON were used without permission from the original artists." He also posted an image of his original work next to the supposed plagiarized material.

The teaser video that originally appeared on SM Entertainment's main site has since been taken down and replaced with a copyright infringement label.
