With a lot of rumors surrounding Rihanna's new album or single this year, the 2015 Super Bowl could bring about an unlikely debut thanks to her BFF Katy Perry.

After being confirmed for the 2015 Super Bowl halftime show, Katy Perry has revealed that a surprise performer will join her for the honor, but the singer is being tight-lipped as to who it might be.

“I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve, but I can’t tell you everything. I’m gonna let people just think about it,” said Perry to Entertainment Tonight.

When pressed further as to the identity of this secret performer, Perry said, "Let's just say female empowerment."

As 2015 begins, Rihanna is continuing to heat up new album speculations when a new alleged song was leaked online.

According to Indian Express, the leaked song in question is titled "World Peace" and upon listening to it, does sound like the trademark Rihanna tone honed from her seven albums. However, this alleged song may not be for her upcoming new album, codenamed #R8.

Rihanna's December 18 Instagram photo could be a preview of the album cover for the 2015 album.  From this photo, some fans believe Rihanna could be taking inspiration from Lauryn Hill for a more vintage vibe for her new album.

On December 17, fans spotted Rihanna filming in Paris at the Trcadero Carroussel.

"Shooting her new video for #R8 in Paris," captioned venusdxpe on Instagram.

Although it is unconfirmed whether Rihanna was filming her new music video for her 2015 album, fans are reminded of similar happenings prior to Beyonce's unexpected album release which shocked the world in 2013.
