Instagram followers of 2NE1's Dara were treated to a display of flexibility when the idol uploaded a photo of her doing a backbend on a gym mat.

As gymnastics and yoga enthusiasts would know, a backbend is far from a beginner's move. Dara showed she had the suppleness to form the pose and strength to sustain it long enough to have her picture taken. What made it surprising is it is the kind of move that we would normally expect from athletic dancer Minzy instead of the sometimes clumsy Dara.

"So who said that I couldn't do this pose? Hohoho," says the idol while affixing the proud hashtag #flexibledara.

Fans noted the backbend pose has a little history among 2NE1 members, the rest of whom have already been snapped doing the pose while Dara has not -- not until this Instagram post.

For a while, many wondered whether she could bend her back like the other members now we know the answer - she can! Fans were quick to congratulate her on her flexible feat.

Sure, Dara's backbend might not be overly arched but it is still quite impressive to see even for longtime 2NE1 followers.

Instagram comments praised Dara for proving everyone wrong: "I thought you don't know how to do it but now I know", "Nice one Dara, prove to those people who say you can't", and "Unnie, you did it, how about the four of you do the same pose and take a photo?"

On top of the pose, Dara did it wearing her trademark super cute and comfortable fashion. She can be seen in a tracksuit with rainbow block pattern and white sneakers.

"You look like a rainbow bridge, like from 90s kids cartoon" and "That's cool. And I love your tracksuit, is it Moschino?"
