SHINee's Jonghyun is hypnotizing in an artistic pictorial for the February issue of Dazed & Confused.

The idol posed in a loft-like set cluttered with musical instruments and production equipment. Jonghyun modeled on an old couch while ignoring the discarded wires around him, stood in front of paintings and curtains with odd printed designs, lounged by a dangerous looking staircase, and even leaned on a shopping cart that contained a cardboard head.

In order to compliment the strange scenarios, Jonghyun's wardrobe was composed of suits with repetitive, jarring patterns, graphic shirts, and out-of-place sneakers. One of the standout pieces he wore was a Saint Laurent blazer known as the Classic Single-Breasted 2-Button Jacket, which comes in silver and red viscose lamé. In the accompanying interview, Jonghyun discussed his interest in electronic and disco funk groups such as The Neptunes, the process of choosing the featured artists for his debut solo album Base, the most memorable lyrical line in his song "Fortune Cookie," and various other interesting topics.

Jonghyun also revealed how he unintentionally met Zion.T, the featured rapper in his song "Déjà-Boo." He said, "He was a musician that I really liked, and I met him accidentally when I ran into him at a tailor shop. And as we were talking about music, we vaguely promised that we would work together in the future."

Jonghyun's solo mini album Base has been sweeping music charts since its release. It gained the top spot in weekly album charts Hanteo, Synnara, Yes24 and Hottracks for the week of January 12 to January 18.
