2NE1's Dara And CL Preparing For Upcoming Solo Activities

While a 2NE1 comeback does not look to be coming up, several of its members are busy preparing for solo activities in the coming months.

Recently, it was confirmed that 2NE1 member Sandara Park (Dara) would be filming a new web drama titled "Dr. Mo Clinic" alongside model-actor Kim Young Kwang. With filming set to begin in February, Dara will join fellow 2NE1 member Lee "CL" Chaerin with her own solo activity.

"Since it's my first drama, I'll learn and grow as an actress from now on," said Dara according to allkpop.

"I think this drama is a very good opportunity for me as I can meet fans around the world online through this new genre of web drama. The character is very interesting as she's so similar to me. Of course, I feel somewhat nervous and burdened, but I will concentrate and work hard."

Reportedly, the Chinese-Korean web drama centers around a psychiatrist (Kwang) who specializes in hypnotherapy and Dara will portray Lee So Dam, who helps manage his patients.

The series is expected to premiere in March through South Korea's Naver TVCast and China's Youku websites.

Meanwhile, CL is allegedly continuing to work on her highly anticipated solo American debut.

"I want to represent Asian women," said CL to Billboard last year.

"I want to break that typical Asian female stereotype. There's this standard where they're all calm. I want to break that. I want to tell the world that there are some badass Asian female girls."

On Saturday, the music producer Sean Garrett complimented CL on Twitter and uploaded a photo of the pair together on Instagram. Based on this, observers believe the pair could be working together for her solo release.

In addition to Sean Garrett, CL is also rumored to be working with Diplo and Skrillex. Her debut will be overseen by talent manager Scooter Braun, known for working with Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
