'World star' Psy has become the artist with the longest ranking at number 2 on the Billboard chart.

Yesterday, Billboard announced that Psy's "Gangnam Style" was at number 2 for the sixth week in a row.

This is the record for the longest time to be at number 2 on the chart. The only other time an artist stayed at number 2 for so long was Maroon 5. 

Another artist is Kelly Clarkson, who stayed at number 2 for 4 weeks.

Psy's "Gangnam Style" will hopefully be able to rank number 1 next week and beat Maroon 5.

The longest record in history so far is rock group Foreigner with their song, "Waiting for a Girl Like You," who ranked number 2 for 10 weeks.
