‘Avatar 2' Movie Release Date Delayed Until 2017! James Cameron Having Trouble In Writing The Plot For The Sequels?

It's already five years since James Cameron has released the first installment of his hit scifi movie, "Avatar" and now fans are eagerly waiting for the sequel to arrive in theater.

However, fans would have to wait a year longer before they'd be able to see the second installment of the franchise in theaters according to Denof Geek.

"Avatar 2" was originally scheduled for a Dec. 25, 2016 release date, however it has been pushed back for one year.

"There's a layer of complexity in getting the story to work as a saga across three films that you don't get when you're making a standalone film", James Cameron reportedly announced at New Zealand Screen Advisory Board meeting. "We're writing three simultaneously. And we've done that so that everything tracks throughout the three films. We're not just going to do one and then make up another one and another one after that and parallel with that, we're doing all the design. So we've designed all the creatures and the environments."

However, previous reports claim that the award winning director of "Titanic" and two of the "Terminator" movies is not taking his chances in making sure that the sequel to the hit scifi movie will be mind-blowing.

"The first film... took almost four years to make. We expect to be able to accelerate the process quite a bit, because we've improved a lot of the software and the computer graphics tools, and we've been working very closely with Weta Digital down here in New Zealand developing a whole new suite of tools to speed up the process," he explained.

James Cameron also revealed that the team is simultaneously working on the plot of the next three sequels of "Avatar."

He further explained that the other two succeeding films to "Avatar" are being made simultaneously, thus the release date for the third and fourth installment of the franchise will be pushed back as well.

"The second, third, and fourth films all go into production simultaneously," he wrote on a Reddit Ask Me Anything session. "They're essentially all in pre-production now because we are designing creatures, settings, and characters that span all three films. And we should be finished with all three scripts within the next, I would say, six weeks."

"Avatar 2" will now be released on Dec. 25, 2017.
