John Mayer and Katy Perry might have had a tumultuous romance for the past two years but it seems the past was not enough to stop the two from seeing each other. Recent sightings of the pair led to speculations that they might reconcile soon following their "final" breakup last year.

As per reports, the "Your Body is a Wonderland" crooner even sought professional help in order to help him deal with his commitment issues. Insiders claim that Mayer was able to realize his shortcomings.

"As soon as John called Katy, she went running back to him. He swears he's a different man now and feels ready to commit. He always loved Katy, but was afraid to take the next step. Now he's even been talking marriage and children," said a source to Now magazine.

The 37-year-old crooner is known for dating several celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, and Taylor Swift. Mayer's infidelity allegedly led to most of his breakups.

Previously, Swift even wrote a song about a certain John breaking her heart and that she should have listened to others' warnings.

If it's true that John Mayer "took that time to focus on himself and figure out why he can't commit," Katy Perry must be really happy. Her romance with DJ Diplo appeared to have not progressed.

Meanwhile, according to the same source from Now magazine as reported by Belfast Telegraph, Katy Perry's circle is allegedly not in favor of her reconciling with Mayer as "everybody told her not to take him back because she's going to get hurt again but she's not listening. He promises he's changed, but that promise will be broken."

The "I Kissed a Girl" hit maker is reportedly using her upcoming Super Bowl performance on Feb. 1 as an excuse to meet up with her former beau.

"She's told friends she's just enjoying time with John and said he's helping her prepare for her Super Bowl performance next month," said another source of Closer magazine.
