Anne Hathaway shot to acting stardom relatively quickly. The Brooklyn-born actress has recently spilled some of her thespian secrets to getting into character. The Les Miserables star reveals that both drinking and driving are useful tools for preparation, but not at the same time.

Anne Hathaway reportedly found a moving way to memorize lines for her upcoming one-woman show at the Public Theater. The Academy Award winning actress is going on a cross-country trip from New York to Los Angeles with her husband, Adam Shulman, and her dog in her Volvo.

''Anne's learning 41-pages of dialogue. She's going to drive. Adam Shulman's going to run the lines with her as they go," an insider told New York Post's Page Six.

The 70-minute stage show, "Grounded," tells the story of a pregnant fighter pilot who gets an assignment to operate drones. "Grounded" is being directed by Julie Taymor.

Anne married Adam Shulman in September 2012.

While promoting the upcoming Anne Hathaway movie "Song One," Hathaway told E! News how she helped her "Song One" co-star Johnny Flynn get in the mood for a steamy love scene.

Anne Hathaway told E!News that she brought some booze to the set to help Flynn feel more comfortable while shooting his first ever intimate scene. Hathaway said the best celluloid aphrodisiac is  Irish whiskey.

"I just wanted to make sure that he knew he was totally protected, that it was a safe environment. We had a closed set, and I brought the Jameson so that helped, too. In a love scene [whiskey] is kind of a prerequisite," Hathaway told E! News.

"It's a closed set, so there's not all these production people around and...I've done a few of these now. It was Johnny's first one, so I was more concerned about, you know, about making sure he was comfortable, so being the pro that I am I brought the Jameson and we each did a whiskey shot before we did it and it didn't take that long and then it was good," the veteran actress told E!.

"Song One" was directed by Kate Barker-Froyland and produced by Anne Hathaway and husband Adam Shulman.

"Song One" opens in theaters on January 23.
