Impending 'Prometheus 2' Release Date Prompts Spoiler Theories; Prequel To Tackle Story Of New Comic Book Series?

The "Prometheus 2" release date is still not confirmed but there are already a slew of speculations regarding the plot, including the reported spoilers from a new comic book series, "Prometheus: Fire and Stone."

The Giant Freakin' Robot revealed that the events in the comic book series are set 100 years after Elizabeth Shaw and David first ventured into LV-223 planet.

This is to ensure that the comic book will not overlap on the "Prometheus 2" ahead of the still-to-be announced release date.

But the comic book does say that Weyland-Yutani Corporation, used to be headed by Guy Pearce, is on a mission to cover up the events surrounding Elizabeth Shaw and android David's journey.

Late last year, Ridley Scott teased "Prometheus 2" spoilers and news to MTV when he said that David will get back his head with the help of Elizabeth Shaw.

When he was asked whether the sequel will still revolve around Elizabeth Shaw and David, Ridley Scott offered some spoilers, "You have to," he said. "You can't have a person go off into the galaxy and have a person who still got his head off."

"Once that head goes back on, [David] is really dangerous," said Scott, when asked for details about Prometheus 2's plot, "but he's also very seductive. So maybe he'll persuade [Shaw] to help him put the head back."

Cinema Blend noted that it's very hard to find clues in the comic book "Prometheus: Fire and Stone" for spoilers on "Prometheus 2."

"One of the biggest is why is Weyland-Yutani heading back to LV-223 anyway? I'm not going to spoil all of the reasons, but clearly there's something still on that hunk of rock that the company wants, but has waited over a century to go back and get," it said.

The release date for "Prometheus 2" is reported to be scheduled for next year.
