We compare the Sony Xperia Z4 and the HTC One M9 base on the rumors swirling around, with regards to their design, display, hardware, operating system and camera.

According to Fuse Joplin, the Sony Xperia Z4 design is expected to be the same as the Sony Xperia Z3 and is rumored to have a metal design while the HTC One M9 might also come with a metallic design like its predecessor.

In terms of display, the Sony Xperia Z4 might have a 5.5-inch screen size with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 while the HTC One M9 is rumored to have a 5-inch screen size with the same resolution as to the Xperia Z4.

Under the hood, both devices are speculated to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and both smartphones are said to have a different speed. The Sony Xperia Z4 is rumored to have 4GB of RAM while the HTC One M9 is expected to have 3GB of RAM.

As for the operating system, it is reported that the Sony Xperia Z4 and HTC One M9 will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop, but will have different skins. Fuse Joplin wrote in its publication that "Sony is known to add tons of app, widgets and features to the Android, which makes the operating system look crowded and chaotic. HTC, on the other hand, has the beautiful Sense UI on its side, arguably the best Android skin."

The HTC One M9 might have a 13MP or a 16MP camera at the back and it will have the ultra pixel technology lens on the front camera while the Sony Xperia Z4 might have a 20.7MP camera at the back and a 5MP or 8MP camera on the front.
