Lance Bass Discusses Marriage Equality, 'N Sync Alum To Broadcast Getting Married To Michael Turchin On Television [PHOTO]

This Thursday, N'sync alum Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin attended a mass wedding ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that celebrated the union of 100 couples. According to the Huffington Post, the event was dubbed "Love is Love," and included both same-sex and straight pairs.

Bass reportedly loves being a newlywed, and is adamant that all couples be able to pursue happiness together regardless of sexual orientation. According to E Online, Bass and Turchin were recently asked about their feelings concerning politician Patricia Todd, who threatened to out her fellow congressmen of their same-sex affairs if they didn't pass the gay marriage law.

Bass replied, "I am never about outing people at all, but when it comes to voting against my rights to live my life the way I want to and my pursuit of happiness, then I am all for it. Out them, yes." Turchin added, "If you are going to work to suppress a group of people and yet you are living an equally, in your eyes, immoral life, you can't do that."

Throughout the past year, Bass has been especially active in promoting LGBTQ rights. According to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), he spoke out against anti-LGBT bill in Mississippi and also received the HRC Upstander Award for his work promoting safety, inclusion, and well-being for LGBTQ youth at HRC's first annual Time to THRIVE conference.

One of Bass' main goals is to promote visibility for gay rights in the media. As a result, he and Turchin have agreed to let their wedding ceremony be televised on E! Network. Inside BelleVille reports that the ceremony will be the first celebrity wedding between two men to be broadcast in the country.

In an interview last week, Bass stated, "The motivation is visibility. If I were getting married to a woman, I wouldn't have it on TV. We're so close to getting marriage equality all across the States, especially those southern states that are right on the line."

Keep your eyes peeled! "Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding" airs tonight.
