Marcus Paulk Arrested For DUI [UPDATE]: ‘Moesha’ Actor Drank Cognac, Smoked Pot Before Driving

"Moesha" child star Marcus Paulk was arrested for DUI and marijuana possession  in Arizona on Super Bowl Sunday. He told the arresting deputy he smoked pot earlier in the day and drank Hennessy cognac before driving, authorities said.

According to the New York Daily News, Marcus Paulk's blood-alcohol content registered at 0.109 percent when he was arrested.

Paulk, 28, was stopped early in the morning in Scottsdale after driving "dangerously close" to a fire truck. Two police cars stopped on the side of the road with their emergency lights flashing, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office reported.

Court documents state that when the deputy pulled over Paulk's vehicle, he could smell a strong odor of alcohol, AZCentral.com reports. As he stepped out of the car, officials said they noticed Paulk's bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred speech and sway as he stood. Law enforcement on the scene said they also found a bag of marijuana in Paulk's front pocket.

Paulk was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. A judge set bail at $2,000. The sheriff's office said Tuesday that Paulk had been released.

It is not clear whether Paulk, who lives in Woodland Hills, California, was in Arizona for the Super Bowl.

The actor is best known for his role as Myles Mitchell on the UPN sitcom "Moesha," which ran from 1996 to 2001 and featured pop star Brandy. Brandy played Moesha and Myles was Moesha's smart-mouthed kid brother.
