K-Pop Throwback: Reliving The Elecro Bliss Of Brown Eyed Girls Singer Narsha's Appearance On Humming Urban Stereo's 'REFORM' EP [AUDIO]

Warning: this review contains a title with profanity and an album cover some folks might deem to be obscene. As this title was the band's creative choice and not that of this reviewer, don't say you weren't warned kid.

"BULLSHIT" is the name of the 11-song Humming Urban Stereo album that includes Brown Eyed Girls vocalist Narsha. Released in May to commemorate the trio's 10th anniversary as a band, this innovative K-pop song is anything but.

When the three members of Humming Urban Stereo, Lee Jeereen, Shina-E and Humming Girl, get together, something magical seems to always happen. The band's Kraftwork-meets-Prince sound has driven them to create some of the most innovative music to come out of Korea in the last decade, across all genres.

Vocalist Narsha, from one of K-pop's more innovative acts, Brown Eyed Girls, proves to be the perfect compliment to Humming Urban Stereo's intoxicating retro synth landscape.

Narsha is truly at the top of her game here, delivering a passionately restrained performance that is nothing less than haunting. No one is showing off here, rather these four artists cast a spell with a hard-hitting dance beat that grabs you by the throat.

Like many Humming Urban Stereo tracks, when "BULLSHIT" ends you feel as though you have just woken up from a dream. It was a sweet dream though, like dancing at the best party you've ever been to with the most beautiful people you have ever seen in your life.

There's only one thing to do, hit repeat and slip back into that mellow world again.
