Review: 4Minute Return To Burning Your Dance Floor Down On 'Crazy' [VIDEO]

4Minute fans disappointed last month to find the group's first single "Cold Rain," from their forthcoming EP, was a ballad, was too slow or lacked the electro-innovation and fun that the South Korean girl group is known for; never fear.

The beats are back.

On the second single and title track "Crazy," released on Sunday, 4Minute pumps their party vibes into overdrive as they blend Dirty South hip-hop, 1990s house music with their own unique take on K-pop.

If you are the kind of person who likes their pop music pumped up to 11, you just found your new jam.

HyunA kicks the song off with a clear demonstration of why she continues to be one of Korean hip-hop's most unique voices. With all due respect to CL, (reportedly making her US debut this spring) the fact that HyunA is not considered to also be an artist with crossover potential in the US has to be one motivated by album sales data alone.

This girl is not just a pretty face, but a distinct voice in a rap game dominated by sound-alikes, with a certain star power that makes her stand out, even in the background.

But that is not to downplay the impressive performances delivered by Jihyun, Gayoon, Jiyoon and Sohyun. One of the best things about "Crazy" as both a song and a music video is that each member of 4Minute gets a chance to shine.

And shine they do. There is something about this band that makes them consistently fascinating. It must have something to do with their willingness to continually change it up and try something new.

There aren't a lot of pop songs that alternate between a straight hip-hop beat and a double-time techno groove. Even fewer that can do so without disrupting the flow.

But this is a 4Minute party, where anything goes, as long as it makes you want to dance.
