Hollywood Reporter Adds 'Gangnam Style' to Pop Culture Dances

Earlier this month, an article was released about how much of a dance craze "Gangnam Style" is and that it is just as comparable to the Macarena of the 90s, or even MC Hammer's "Hammertime" dance.

Hollywood Reporter released an article recently compiling the top 5 dance crazes from oldest to newest.

The Hollywood Reporter classifies the significance of Psy's horse-dance below saying:

"Korea's Psy has become the latest to spark an international dance craze. Everyone from Britney Spears (in September on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show') and Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley (at this month's 'Country Music Association Awards') to Madonna (at Madison Square Garden), Hugh Jackman (on the Wolverine set) and Homeland's Damian Lewis (on the U.K.'s The Jonathan Ross Show) have tried their hand at performing the moves. Even Glee covered it in an episode airing later this month. Meanwhile, the video -- which won best video at this month's MTV European Music Awards -- officially has become the most popular video in history with more than 700 million views worldwide."

As Psy places in the top 5 dance craze compilation, so did his fellow AMA performer MC Hammer too with his "Can't Touch This" dance.

Psy and MC Hammer recently collaborated for an unforgettable legendary performance at the 40th American Music Awards. He also won the 'New Media' award that was given to him on the pre-show. Congrats to Psy and all his accomplishments!
