'Frozen 2' Might Not Happen? Release Date Rumors Clarified By Idina Menzel

The 'Frozen' sequel might not happen as Idina Menzel clarified the 'Frozen' 2 release date rumors.

According to the report of KDrama Stars, Idina Menzel clarified that her statement that 'Frozen 2' is currently in the works, is based only on her assumptions.

"Apparently I spoke out of turn. I just assumed because it was so successful there'd be a sequel," Idina Menzel said.

While the Disney Studios has not yet announced if there will be a "Frozen" sequel or not, the said movie will have a short animated film.

The Breathe Cast said that the "short animated film 'Frozen Fever,' directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, will bring back several characters from 'Frozen' - including Anna, Elsa, Sven, Kristoff and Olaf among others."

Furthermore, the short film will focus on Anna's birthday celebration, where Kristoff and Elsa are planning to give Anna a party, "but a problem arises when Elsa catches a cold."

The "Frozen Fever" short film will also have a new song from Kristen Anderson-Loped and Robert Lopez, who composed the hit single of the 'Frozen' which is "Let It Go."

However, there is no word yet from Disney if the "Frozen 2" release date will happen this year or if the said movie sequel will not happen. Moreover, Hitflix said that doing the movie sequel will be inescapable for the House of Mouse, "Disney is not one to let money slip through their grasp, so a 'Frozen' sequel is an inevitability."

The "Frozen" made a total of $1.07 billion worldwide and won 2 Academy Awards. The movie is also dubbed as the most successful animated film.
