Lovelyz To Make 7 Member Comeback, Seo Ji Soo On Hiatus Until Investigation Ends

Lovelyz announced a seven-member comeback, minus Seo Ji Soo.

Woollim Entertainment’s first girl group Lovelyz will be making their first comeback. The entertainment company shared a picture revealing the feet of seven women. The agency announced that Lovelyz’ eighth member, Seo Ji Soo will not be joining the group for this comeback, but will join the group in the future.

Star News reported that Woollim Entertainment confirmed that Seo Ji Soo is still undergoing mental health treatment after a slew of harassment allegation rumors appeared online against her. Woollim also announced that an arrest has been made by one of the people who spread rumors against her.

A man has been arrested for being one of the people spreading false information about Seo Ji Soo online, accusing her of a variety of charges from sexual harassment to blackmail.

“Until the prosecution's investigation result comes out, they will continue as seven,” Woollim Entertainment told Star News.

In November 2014, shortly before Lovelyz debuted, allegations emerged accusing Seo Ji Soo of a wide-range of things, including being a bully, her reasons for joining Woollim, and being in relationships with women and abusing them sexually and verbally.

Woollim Entertainment addressed the situation in a variety of statements, and asked for alleged victims of Seo Ji Soo’s actions to step forward. A purported victim turned herself into the police on Nov. 18, and the Seoul Police announced that they had discovered the person who had started the rumors.

Due to mental stress, Seo Ji Soo did not promote with Lovelyzs, although she did appear in the music video for the group’s debut song, “Candy Jelly Love.”
The release date and title of Lovelyz comeback song has not been announced.
