'Fairy Tail' Gets New 'Tartarus' Arc Visual And Special Valentine's Day Artwork By Creator Hiro Mashima [PHOTOS]

Another Valentine's Day has come and gone and while some are tearing into their half priced chocolates, anime fans are gearing up for the outpour of Spring anime announcements.

"Fairy Tail" fans in particular are perhaps excited to see the end of a less popular arc in the series.

Yesterday in celebration of the popular romance holiday, manga creator Hiro Mashima tweeted a special "Fairy Tail" Valentine's Day themed drawing. For those not looking for the cute and adorable, the official website for "Fairy Tail" also revealed a new key image of Natsu for the upcoming animation of the Tartarus arc. "Fairy Tail" fans can view the two new images below.

As to be expected, fans on Crunchyroll are most excited for the upcoming animation of the Tartarus arc.

"I can't wait for the Tartarus arc to get animated. Prepare yourselves for a lot of plot twists and turns cause it's gonna be a roller-coaster ride," explained Deatherz007.

"The fillers have been okay so far but I'm pumped for Tartarus arc to start," said Feia20032.

"Tartarus arc is going to be super cool to finally see animated...the surprises, the chaos... the Fire and Ice !" exclaimed Bbbrown2332.

Anime News Network reported that the 'Tartarus' arc began in the "Fairy Tail" manga in October 2013 in chapter 365. The 'Tartarus' arc ended in chapter 416 that ran in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine toward the end of January.

For those who are not familiar with the series, My Anime List describes "Fairy Tail" as follows:

""The story follows a teenage girl named Lucy Heartfilla who is determined to join the notorious magical Fairy Tail Guild. During a daring rescue, she encounters Natsu who is part of the guild and eventually offers her a place. They become teammates performing various missions for the Fairy Tail Guild. Be prepared for an action-packed adventure!"
