One Direction Fans Worry Louis Tomlinson’s Twitter Account Hacked Amid The ‘Unfortunate’ Gay Rumor For Girlfriend Eleanor Calder

One Direction fans were worried that Louis Tomlinson's Twitter account was hacked over the weekend, around the same time a Vine video hit the internet that allegedly had Louis Tomlinson admitting that he was gay and that it was "unfortunate" for his girlfriend, Eleanor Calder. Both issues were found to be rumors.

Over the weekend, One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson's Twitter account profile picture was suddenly changed to the generic "egg" that new Twitter users have as their default icon before they upload their own photo.

However, Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter to refute rumors that his Twitter had been hacked.

Sunday night, he tweeted: "Soooooo need a new profile picture cos the owner of the last photo was crying ! Ha."

While it's not clear who exactly took his previous Twitter profile picture, we're guessing he means something along the lines of the photographer isn't happy that it's his Twitter photo anymore.

It seems Louis isn't satisfied with any photos of himself - are 19 hours of One Direction fans suggesting him photos to use, he still hasn't chosen a new Twitter profile picture.

Meanwhile, Louis was also at the center of controversy when a Vine video was posted to the internet, in which Louis seems to shout something to a fan along the lines of: "I'm gay, it's pretty unfortunate, isn't it Eleanor?", before security can be heard firmly saying: "Be quiet."

According to Yahoo! UK, within seconds of the video surfacing, fans were quick to get #ImGayItsPrettyUnfortunate trending worldwide on Twitter, just one place ahead of #LouisWeLoveYouNoMatterWhat.

However, it has since been confirmed that the video was edited. A few people who were at the scene took to Twitter to try to set the record straight.

"LOUIS DID NOT COME OUT, SOMEONE SAID THEIR BIRTHDAY WAS ON THE SAME DAY! Not gay, DAY!" wrote on fan.

Another fan named Tyla even revealed that its her footage of Tomlinson that was wrongly captioned on YouTube to make it seem like Tomlinson had said he was gay.

"I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT LOUIS DID NOT SAY IT WAS 'UNFORTUNATE FOR HIM TO BE GAY' THEY HAD THE SAME Bday & ITS UNFORTUNATE! I WAS THERE," she wrote.

Tyla went on to complain, "I hate it how people that are in a different country are telling us what happened when I was the one that videoed it! Stop you weren't there. The vine you have seen was videoed by me! I was there and everyone needs to stop changing the truth. HE DIDNT SAY IT AND THATS IT!"
