SMTOWN World Tour III In Singapore Draws 26,000 Fans On Unique Water Stage

On the 23 of November, Singapore witnessed one of our biggest K-Pop concert to ever be staged in Singapore. This was also the first commercial concert that was held at The Float @ Marina Bay, where Singapore's National Day Parade and the Youth Olympic Games were also held, a very prestigious venue indeed. The floating platform is the world's largest folding stage at 120 meters long and 83 meters wide and this is the first time audiences are able to set foot on the floating stage, with about 4,000 fans in the mosh pit.

The whole SMTOWN family which includes Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x) and EXO enchanted the audience of 26,000 with 50 hits songs throughout the whole 4 hour concert. With non-stop stage effects, adrenaline rushing dance moves and top notch vocals, even the persistent rain could not wash away the fans enthusiasm!

Putting together this concert was no easy task, as the total production value was more than $5 million and took a total of 96 hours with 200 crews to set it up. Ardent fans also started queuing up for the concert 7 days before the actual day!

The SM artists certainly did not let the fans down as they gave their very best during the whole concert.

There were also lovely surprises that took place during the concert, like when Super Junior's Kyuhyun and TVXQ's Changmin went down on their knees to serenade a very lucky fan girl on stage during their duet "Just the way you are" by Bruno Mars.

Sunny from Girls' Generation also gave fans a lovely shock when she appeared in a purple bow-cut hairstyle during "Run Devil Run".

Eunhyuk from Super Junior also gave fans a good laugh when he joked about being the next leader while Leeteuk was away in the army and also showed off his newly learnt Singapore language "Singlish".

Jonghyun from SHINee also did not disappoint the fans. He appeared on stage shirtless, showing off his well-toned abs, during his duet "Internet War" with Taemin.

The SM artists surely know how to put on a good show and what a great way to end the year for Singapore K-Pop fans!
