Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd dating? Former "Dancing with the Stars" couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd were photographed holding hands on the streets of New York City.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd dated for almost 10 months. Maksim and his fellow "Dancing With the Stars" pro split up in early 2013.
But an insider told Us Weekly source the couple has been together a lot lately.

"They've been spending time together. I wouldn't say they're back together. But they're definitely spending time together," the insider told Us Weekly. "Peta was wary at first since they fought so much and ended on such a bad note the last time," another source told the outlet, adding, "but he has been working hard to really be a good guy to her and show her that he's changed."

According People magazine Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd have always been together.

"They've never really 'broken up. They're with each other a lot and have been for quite some time, including all last season. Tommy [Chong] would tease her about it," a source from Dancing with the Stars told People Magazine.

Us Magazine said it was Peta, the dance pro, who had cold feet about committing to Maksim. 

"Peta was wary at first since they fought so much and ended on such a bad note the last time," a source told Us Magazine. "But he has been working hard to really be a good guy to her and show her that he's changed." 

"They are really great together. And he is very happy. It's early but I think this will last," another source told People. "They're a good match, a good couple."

As far as those dating rumors, Chmerkovskiy told OK, "I don't care, honestly. If people want to think something, they're going to think that. It's not something I'm going to waste my time on. I think honestly we give a lot of people something with our partnership - the way it was, and the chemistry that we had, and how passionate it was in our performances week in and week out. That overwhelming feeling people were getting while watching us like, "No, I have to attribute it to that. There's no other way that this can come out this way." And so, there's nothing that we can say."
