'Scandal' Star Kerry Washington Receives Gifts For Baby Isabelle From Ellen DeGeneres; Olivia Pope Speaks About Missing Out On Epic Oscar Selfie

Ellen DeGeneres came bearing gifts for Kerry Washington's baby Isabelle when the "Scandal" star visited the comedian's talk show on Thursday.

In the same interview, Kerry Washington also revealed why she didn't join Ellen DeGeneres for that epic selfie at the Oscars last year. Apparently, it was a choice between eating and taking pictures.

"It was phenomenal and I was backstage eating the pizza that you ordered for everybody. And so I missed that selfie," she reportedly said per Daily Mail.

"But listen I was pregnant so when you're pregnant and it's like epic selfie or a pizza? You go pizza," the "Scandal" star said.

Kerry Washington was in New York to join the 40th anniversary special of "Saturday Night Live." She revealed that she partied up until 5 a.m. which was unusual for her ever since she's had baby Isabelle and her "Scandal" TV series.

During her guesting stint, Kerry Washington also received cute gifts from Ellen DeGeneres, who gave her a plastic seat tacked into a director's chair so baby Isabelle can feel every inch a star while feeding.

The actress has yet to debut baby Isabelle's face and it's a conscious decision to guard their privacy.

But Kerry Washington oftentimes bring her baby to the set of "Scandal."

"I'm really blessed because my daughter gets to be at work with me a lot so that's really fun and wonderful. Everybody at work really likes it," she told Entertainment Tonight. "She brings a lot of joy wherever she is so it's fun to have her around."

It's not about having mom's guilt, however, as Kerry Washington said that women shouldn't be guilty about leaving their children behind in order to work because "you have to know you are a limited vessel and can only do so much."

In an earlier interview with In Style, Kerry Washington said that baby Isabelle "looks just like her dad."
