AKA Jessica Jones Casting News: Marvel's upcoming Netflix TV series "AKA Jessica Jones" added three more actors to the cast. "A.K.A. Jessica Jones" is expected to premiere on Netflix later this year, in spite of earlier reports that A.K.A. Jessica Jones might not be until 2016.

Eka Darville will play Malcolm, "a neighbor of Jessica's whose life will cross with the private detective's in a surprising way." Erin Moriarty was cast as Hope, one of Jessica Jones' clients. Wil Traval will play a "by the book NYPD officer."

They join Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as the villainous Kilgrave,  Rachael Taylor as Patsy Walker, and Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper, "a no-nonsense woman who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica...if Jessica doesn't completely alienate her first."

"AKA Jessica Jones." is based on Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Baydos' comic series Alias. Jessica Campbell Jones Cage made her first appearance in the series Alias. Jones is a former superhero who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She opens a detective agency called Alias Private Investigations. The embittered former superheroine used the aliases Jewel, Knightress, and Power Woman.

Carrie-Ann Moss, who played Trinity in "The Matrix" movies and starred on TV's "Grey's Anatomy" was added to the cast of the upcoming Netflix series "AKA Jessica Jones."

AKA Jessica Jones is based on Marvel's Alias comic. Jessica runs Alias Investigations, a private detective firm.

"'A.K.A. Jessica Jones'- Working as a private investigator in New York's Hell's Kitchen, a troubled ex-superhero's past comes back to haunt her in the live-action series, 'Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones,'" a recent teaser reads.

AKA Jessica Jones will be the second of Marvel's Netflix series.
