B1A4's Label Reveals Plans To Debut New Girl Group In April

This spring, K-pop fans will welcome a new girl group to the scene.

According to a report from Star News, WM Entertainment released plans for a new 8-member girl band this April.

WM Entertainment, home to popular boy band B1A4, is expected to start releasing teasers for their first female group sometime in March, with an EP likely to hit shelves in April.

"They are currently discussing the title track," said an industry insider said to have worked with the new artists, according to Star News. "[WM Entertainment] has put a lot into this group, so you could expect a great result."

The company is said to have sought out songs from various composers since last year in preparation for the debut mini album that will reportedly contain three or four tracks.

While little is actually known about the members of the the for-now-unnamed new K-pop group, insiders have reported that the girls have been training in the agency for a while, some for three or four years.  WM Entertainment is also said to be in the process of finalizing the group's official lineup.

The new group comes four years after WM Entertainment debuted B1A4 in April 2011.
