Rainbow Returns From Year-And-A-Half Hiatus With 'Black Swan'

After teasing fans with hypnotizing dark concept photos, Rainbow has returned to the K-pop scene with their "Black Swan" single and third mini-album Innocent.

In the new music video, the seven beauties transformed into hauntingly mesmerizing dancers who are slowly losing their minds, as they sang about wanting to be saved by an unnamed prince. They posed in front of cracked mirrors and teasingly dipped their toes into murky water as they foreshadowed slowly falling into darkness and insanity.

The ambiguous lyrics pleaded, "Even this moment is typical, it's all an illusion. Yeah baby talk to me, baby talk to me. I've waited for this moment, I'll be born again. Don't let me go like Black Swan."

After a year and eight month hiatus, Rainbow chose a fairytale-like concept and slow-tempo dance track to mark their much-awaited return. Although fans love the members' Grecian goddess dresses, impeccable beauty looks and committed dance moves, they are divided about the title track.

One of the top rated comments under the video, by Nsha76, states, "I love this dark and sexy concept a lot... especially their make-up and outfits... but TBH (To be honest), I'm so disappointed in the song. DSP should try to give them better songs like KARA's... this is unfair. the song is just..... so average."

However, others fans are defending the song choice. Another top rated commented under the video, by Pokemon4789, exclaims, "It's one of those songs that sound 'eh' at first. But give it a few more listens, and now it is my..jam. BTW (By the way), it isn't 'trash,' its actually a really unique song. Listen to their album. Literally gold!"

DSP Media, the group's representative agency, also released a making-of video.
