EXO Member D.O Lands Asian Film Award Nomination For Breakout Role In 'Cart'

Since debuting into the world acting, EXO vocal D.O (Do Kyungsoo) has been constantly making leaps and bounds in the industry.

It was recently announced that D.O is one of the nominees for the Best Newcomer Award at the 9th Asian Film Awards. He will go up against rookie actors from Taiwan's Zhan Huai Yun; Hong Kong's Ivana Wong; Japan's Tosaka Hiroomi and China's Zhang Huiwen to secure the award. Do Kyungsoo was nominated for his role in the movie 'Cart' as the son of Yeom Jung Ah.

'Cart' first premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival and later was shown during the 19th Annual Busan International Film Festival as well as the 34th Hawaii International Film Festival. The film soon went on to gain a wide range of international due to its emotional nature and stunning display.

Cart made its big screen premier in the United States being shown in Galaxy Highland Movie Theater located in Austin, Texas. The film gathered a full house and left the audience in awe once it was over.

Do Kyungsoo later went on to make his small screen debut with massively popular SBS drama "It's Okay, That's Love" starring alongside well-known actors Jo In Sung, Gong Hyo Jin, Lee Kwang Soo, and Sung Dong Il.

Because of his acting abilities, Do Kyungsoo was named as the number one acting idol by experts after competing against A-Pink's Eunji and Siwan of ZE:A.

Recently, it was announced that fellow EXO, Chanyeol would also make his foray into the acting scene with the movie "Jang Soo Store". Chanyeol will star alongside highly coveted actors Park Keun Hyung, Yoon Yuh Jung, Cho Jin Woong, and Han Ji Min. "Jang Soo Store" is set to release this April.
