Spoilers reveal that "Prometheus 2," which will feature new villains, could be released before "Alien 5" but the two movies might be unrelated.

Ridley Scott said, per Movie Pilot, "Prometheus 2" will stay away from the xenomorphs.

"It's fresh and getting away from gods (engineers) and dragons (xenomorphs) and shit. If I see one more dragon, I'm going to shoot myself. Stop the dragons," the director hinted some spoilers of the villains to be expected from the "Prometheus 2." 

"The alien's real, which is why it's probably one of the scariest monsters in film history. So with 'Prometheus 2,' what I'm trying to do is reintroduce a fresher form of alien in the third act," the director said.

Scified reported that Neill Blomkamp's "Alien 5" "will be completely separate from 'Prometheus' and 'Prometheus 2' though will take place in the same Universe."

"Unlike Scott's 'Prometheus 2' which aims to get away from the 'Alien' or 'Xenomorph' creature itself and expand the franchise, Blomkamp's 'Alien 5' will likely revolve heavily around the Xenomorph and iconic characters such as Ellen Ripley," the website added.

It was already reported that "Alien 5" will effectively follow events of "Alien" and "Aliens" and will totally ignore "Alien 3" and "Alien: Resurrection."

Sigourney Weaver said in an interview, "I would love to take Ripley out of orbiting around in space and give a proper finish to what was such an excellent story. So when somebody like Neill Blomkamp suddenly said 'well, I'm interested in finishing the story', my little ears perked up."

Neill Blomkamp added, "I want this film to feel like it is literally the genetic sibling of Aliens. So it's Alien, Aliens, this movie."

"It's a Freudian kind of nightmare. That element is what is so appealing," Blomkamp added. "It's a great series, it deserves a proper ending. I know the fans would love that. So I hope it works out".

"Prometheus 2" release date is slated in 2016.
