UFC Champ Ronda Rousey On Bout With Gina Carano: 'I'd Be Honored To Fight Her'

UFC champ Ronda Rousey would be honored to fight Gina Carano, who is generally credited for bring women's fighting into the mainstream.

Ronda Rousey, who just won record time by defeating Cat Zingano in just 14 seconds, credited Gina Carano as somebody who can't do wrong in her eyes.

"If you have a problem with Gina, there's a problem with you," Ronda Rousey said per MMA Fighting.

The UFC women's champ also said that she has much respect for Gina Carano that she would do her bidding.

"If she wants to be done, and she's done so much to change my entire life that I'm eternally grateful to her, she doesn't need to do anything else," Ronda Rousey said. "If she wants to fight, I would be happy to oblige her if that what she wants. I never want her to be pushed into doing anything that she doesnt' want."

"If she wants me to play the role of an opponent ... or as cast mate or anything I would be happy to help her or be there for her," Ronda Rousey added.

"She's the one who planted a seed in my mind, she changed my entire life," the UFC women's champ Ronda Rousey said of Gina Carano.

Meanwhile, MMA reporter Ariel Helwani tweeted: "Wondering if a weekend like this is even possible w/o @ginacarano doing what she did a few years back (doubtful) & what she thinks of it all."

That got a lengthy response from Henry Cavill's ex girlfriend who posted a long note on her own Twitter. Part of the note says, "I see all the people who said it would never be possible, how they'd never support women fighting in the cage and vowed never to watch, who are now the same people announcing these women's fights with mind blown enthusiasm."

"I smile so big it brings tears to my eyes because somehow I was blessed to be a small part of this evolution," she added. "Most importantly, I learned that one group's fear is no match to one person's passion."
