Former MBLAQ Member Thunder Confirms Return In New TV Drama 'Let The Girl Cry'

Fans of former MBLAQ member Thunder will be happy to hear that their idol will make an appearance in a weekend drama this April on MBC's Let The Girl Cry.

The drama is scheduled to air during Saturdays and Sundays at the 8:40 PM time slot, and stars Kim Jung Eun as a Deok In, a former detective who opens a small restaurant in front of a school where her only son attended before passing away.

Thunder will play the role of Hyun Seo, a student from a wealthy family and son to Eun Soo played by Ha Hee Ra. Eun Soo is the sister-in-law of Jin-Woo, played by Song Chang Eul, a possible love interest for the drama's heroine.

Thunder's character will have a dark personality, according to Soompi.

Late last year, Thunder and another MBLAQ member Lee Joon decided not to renew their contract as part of the then-five member idol group. It has been reported that both Thunder and Lee Joon will be pursuing solo careers while the three remaining will stay on and promote as a trio this year.

This latest news is heartwarming for Thunder fans who have been wondering what the idol has been up to since deciding to break away from MBLAQ. Fans wanted to know what kinds of activities he will be pursuing given his many talents not only as a singer and composer - he has put out self-composed solo songs like "Don't Go" and "Gone" - but also as a model with ideal proportions and actor.

Barring any new activity until April, this will be the first activity for Thunder since breaking away from MBLAQ. This also confirms his intentions to establish himself not only as a solo music artist but also as a budding actor. He has previously appeared in another MBC drama, Nail Shop Paris, starring as one of the flower boys alongside Kara's Gyuri.
