Jeremy Lin Helps The Homeless By Giving Food And Gifts! Promises To Become A Better Player In The Second Half Of The Season

While most of the NBA stars had a blast during February's All-Star festivities, Los Angeles guard Jeremy Lin took the time to share his blessings to some people from upstate New York.

Los Angeles Lakers guard has been known for his class acts off the court, and this time, he pays it forward by giving back to the homeless with a couple of very personal gifts.

Lin, along with his brother, went around and delivered food and red envelopes with gifts (also known as lai see) to homeless individuals in the area. He was closely paying attention to each individual's story and gave some inspirational words.

Later, he appears to recognize one of the men somewhere before and and later challenged him in a foot race. The people who received presents are given a chance to share their stories and show their gratitude for Lin, in a series of videos that show Lin's personal side.

Despite a shaky season, Lin promises to become a better player in the second half of the season as he wants to prove that he is a reliable rotation player. He remains focused despite the rumors of him leaving Los Angeles after this season.

"I'll just cross that bridge when the time comes," Lin said. "I'm keeping my options open and see what's out there. I'm just going to evaluate everything when the time comes because right now you could say stuff, but it doesn't really matter until I'm presented (with something) at the time because I don't know what the landscape is going to look like."

Lin has also been on and off this season averaging 10.4 ppg, 2.4 rpg, and 4.7 apg.
