Girls' Generation's Yoona Honored With Presidential Taxpayer Award

Add model taxpayer to Girls' Generation's Yoona's ever-growing list of titles. The idol, along with other prominent celebrities and diligent taxpayers, was conferred by the president of South Korea with the Presidential Taxpayer Award.

The award is given to upstanding taxpayers throughout South Korea, including large corporations and other high-earning professionals, for paying on time and is seen as a way to encourage others to also report their earnings and pay taxes correctly.

Yoona was joined by actor Song Seung Hun and actress Han Chae Young, among other awardees, in receiving their distinction at a commemorative ceremony held in the district of Gangnam during March 3, Taxpayer Day.

The video below by SSTVnews captures scenes from the ceremony proceedings.

Yoona can be seen sitting beside Song Seung Hun in a dark sleeveless blouse and pleated skirt. She kept her accessories at a minimum befitting the formal event, wearing a necklace, earrings and black pumps. Her hair was also styled simply with girly bangs that framed her face.

Fans complimented Yoona for yet another do-gooder distinction as well as her chic, classy look during the ceremony.

The kind-hearted idol has a long list of charity and humanitarian involvements, including becoming the ambassador for the UNIHERO campaign by UNICEF. As a testament to her constant donations, she was also recently inducted to the Honor Society which recognizes individuals who have donated more than 100 million won - roughly $91,000 -- to charity.

"Truly a hardworking and stunning woman", "Congratulations, you are a role model. Fighting!", and "She is so adorable with bangs", said fans across forums and social media.
