Shania Twain Tour 2015 Will Be The Country Star’s Last Performances; 'Still The One' Singer Tells GMA It's Time To Say Farewell

Shania Twain farewell tour? Shania Twain tour 2015 will be her last. The "Man, I Feels Like a Woman" singer announced her farewell tour on Good Morning America, March 4, 2015.

Shania told Good Morning America that  after selling more than 75 million records worldwide and winning five Grammys,  she is ready to go on a farewell tour.

"I'm finally, after 11 years, I'm going back on tour," the nine-time Billboard Music Award winner told "Good Morning America." "It's the after-party tour. That's how I see it. "It's the after-party to all of these years."

Twain will kick off her "Rock This Country" tour in Seattle on June 5, 2015. The tour hits 48 cities in the U.S. and Twain's home country Canada.

"This is a very, very important time on the road for me," Twain told GMA. "I just feel like I'm ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I just really want to go out with a bang."

The "You're Still the One" singer most recently completed a two-year residency at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.  Twain started her Las Vegas residency in November 2012 after such big names as country music superstar Garth Brooks and fellow Canadian Celine Dion had hit Caesar's Palace residencies. Twain was away from the stage for more than eight years before hit Sin City. The "Man I Feel Like a Woman" singer will ended her residency with a grand finale performance on Dec. 13.

Country singer Shania Twain says she's been listening to a lot of non-country music like Robert Plant, from Led Zeppelin, who collaborated with Allison Krause. Shania Twain also says she's become infatuated with the singer Lana Del Rey and she's paying very close attention to their production. Does this mean Shania Twain may lose a little of that country twang?

Talking to Rolling Stone, Shania Twain admitted, "This is last year, but I'm really stuck on Lana Del Rey. I've been listening to that one a lot more and kind of stuck on the sound of that record. I really love Raising Sand as well - Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. So that goes to show you how lost I am as far as production direction, because I'm listening to such a broad spectrum. Both of those productions really appeal to me, and the direction that they took - just trying to get ideas for myself."

Twain described the residency as a "huge mountain to climb" and "a lot of work." She said she relied on two unlikely sources -- Lionel Richie and Gladys Knight -- for support when she was beset by vocal challenges.

Twain's 1997 album, "Come on Over," remains the bestselling album ever by a woman and the bestselling country album of all time.

Tickets for the "Rock This Country" tour go on sale to Twain's fans on Tuesday, March 10. Tickes will be available to the general public on Friday, March 13.
