Texas Police Officer’s Parody Of Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln Commercial Is Hilarious [VIDEO]

Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln commercial is great in its abstract glory, but one Texas police officer may have topped the actor with his own parody of the advertisement.

Cedar Hill Police Sgt. Larry Wise did a spoof of the “Interstellar” actor’s commercial, and the video has now gone viral on YouTube and Facebook, according to the news outlet Fox4KC.

“I know there are those that say you can’t go back, but yes you can, where you been, how you got here, see where you’re going,” McConaughey says in his Lincoln commercial.

Wise, following a similar tone as McConaughey, talks about his life as a police officer in his parody.

“You don’t get into police work because it makes sense,” states Wise in a Texas drawl.

He continues, “You do it because you thought it really looked cool on TV, or because med school was just out of the question.”

Wise’s video has garnered more than 100,000 views and over 1,000 likes on YouTube. Wise has created a fan base for himself within the week the video has been uploaded.

“That was awesome!,” wrote YouTube user vidurc.

Fellow social media user John-Aaron Hill commented, “Classic! Had me and my wife cracking up. Keep up the great attitudes.”
